What is the INE or MSE number and what is it used for? The INE or MSE number is used by the Crous for the allocation procedure in the various student Crous residences. French students all have an INE number that they will find on their baccalaureate transcript. Foreign students can create a temporary number on the website Mes Services Etudiants: https://www.messervices.etudiant.gouv.fr/envole/enregistrement (click on the I do not have an INE number box at the very bottom of the page) Once you have this number, please fill in the INE/MSE section of your housing application form.
